On October 17th, 2024, the Swedish-Belgian Association celebrated its 90th anniversary in style with a gala at Riddarhuset in Stockholm. Nearly 60 Belgians, Swedes and friends of Belgium attended the festivities.
The celebrations kicked off with the Belgian and Swedish national anthems by opera singers Joris Grouwels and Hilkka Ylinärä, followed by an exquisite three-course meal, inspiring speeches, and a fabulous medley of Belgian music by trombone quintet Crossbones Trombones. No sooner had they played their last tune (Stromae!), or DJ GUNN started her set with party classics that kept many a dance fan glued to the dance floor well into the night.
All in all, it was a historical celebration of a historical anniversary!
